วันนี้เป็นของจิ๋วน่ารักที่สวยงาม และมีกลิ่นหอมเย็นระรื่น.. พวงมาลัยจิ๋ว นั่นเอง

Today we would like to present one of the beautiful handmade miniature items ie. Thai garland with sweet scent flowers.

พวงมาลัย คือพวงดอกไม้ประดิษฐ์ ที่นำดอกไม้ ใบไม้ ต่าง ๆ เช่น ดอกมะลิ พุด กุหลาบมอญ ดอกรัก ใบแก้ว ดอกข่า ฯลฯ มาร้อยเป็นพวงมาลัย ใช้ไหว้พระ รวมถึงนำไปไหว้ บิดามารดา ญาติผู้ใหญ่ ตามเทศกาลต่าง ๆ

Garland is a group of flowers made into round shape, mostly are jasmine, gardenia, rose, crown and red ginger etc.  They are often used to worship the buddha images as well as to respect parents or other adults in many occasions.

ในสมัยรัชกาลที่ 5 นิยมการประดิษฐ์ดอกไม้มาก ไม่ว่าจะมีงานพระราชพิธีใด ๆ

เจ้านายฝ่ายในจะต้องประกวดกันจัดแต่งดอกไม้มาถวายให้ทรงใช้ในงานนั้น ๆ เสมอ

In the reign of King Rama V, it was very popular for Ladies in the palace

to arrange flowers for the Royal Ceremonies

สมเด็จพระพันปีหลวง ได้ทรงคิดร้อยมาลัยด้วยดอกไม้ต่างๆ และใช้ใบไม้แทรกนำ

ทำให้มีลวดลายต่าง ๆ กันอย่างงดงาม และพลิกแพลงทำรูปต่าง ๆ กัน

The Royal Princess Mother created garland with different kinds of 

flowers, leaves, and beautiful designs as well.

ในภาพเป็นพวงมาลัยจิ๋วน่ารัก วางอยู่บนถาดใบตองที่พับอย่างสวยงาม 

พวงมาลัยจิ๋วนี้ร้อยจากดอกมะลิให้เป็นวงกลมตามด้วยกุหลาบ

และอุบะดอกรัก 3 ขา ตุ้มเป็นกุหลาบตูม

In the picture shows a miniature clay garland made of jasmine

 in round shape, rose in the middle, together with crown flowers

in 3 lines, each line ended with rose bud. 

 This lovely miniature garland is placed on a special folded banana leaf. 

So nice, isn't it?

ฝีมือประณีตมากทั้งดอกมะลิ ดอกรัก และกุหลาบ

แต่ขอบอกว่า ดอกมะลิแบบนี้ทำยากกว่าดอกตูมนะคะ
