Moreover, "Rose" in English comes from the word "Rhodon" which means Rose in Greek.

สำหรับประเทศไทยไม่ทราบแน่ชัดว่ามีกุหลาบมาตั้งแต่สมัยใด หากแต่มีการบันทึกของราชทูตฝรั่งเศสว่าได้เห็นดอกกุหลาบอยู่ในกรุงศรีอยุธยาค่ะ

เพื่อนๆ ทราบไหมคะว่า คำว่ากุหลาบนั้นมาจากคำว่า "คุล" ในภาษาเปอร์เซียแปลว่า "สีแดง ดอกกุหลาบ" ในภาษาฮินดีคำว่า "คุล" แปลว่า "ดอกไม้" และคำว่า "คุลาพ" เหมือนไทยเรียกกัน แต่ออกเสียงเป็น "กุหลาบ"

ส่วนคำว่า "Rose" ในภาษาอังกฤษนั้นมาจากคำว่า "Rhodon" ที่แปลว่ากุหลาบในภาษากรีกค่ะ
